Top New Year’s Eve Parties From Coast To Coast

A New Year is upon us, and here the top New Year’s Eve parties from coast to coast. Which one will you attend?

Niagara Falls, ON

This year’s all-Canadian concert line-up will feature musical performances by High Valley, Serena Ryder and Sam Roberts Band. The show will begin at 8pm at Queen Victoria Park as local band James Blonde kicks things off. This outdoor celebration also features a variety of food and beverage options, as well as an outdoor licensed area.

Toronto, ON

There are a myriad of parties going on in TO, from Majestic New Year’s Eve at the Fairmont’s magnificent Concert Hall, Ball room and Canadian Room, to parties at ACE Nightclub, the Hilton Toronto, Orchid, and LUXY Nightclub. In all there will be more than 100 nightclub and hotel events in Toronto.

Ottawa, ON

The nation’s capital knows how to ring in a New Year right! Ottawa City Hall is having an “earlier” celebration, great for families, but the biggest party will be at Parliament Hill starting at 7pm. There will be special activities on both sides of the Ottawa River, including live music performances and a pyromusical fireworks show at 8:17 p.m., also known as 20:17! Canadian artists Radio Radio, Brett Kissel and Carly Rae Jepsen will take the stage too.

Montreal, QC

From supper clubs to nightclubs, you’ll find a wide range of ways of ring in 2017 in Montreal, like parties at La Boom, Fluid, Jet, Facul T, Rouge, and Muzique. Old Montreal will play host to one of the bigger parties, and it’s free!

Vancouver, BC

Situated on Burrard Landing and Coal Harbour, Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver on December 31, 2016 is downtown Vancouver’s only waterfront celebration to ring in 2017. It features free live musical entertainment, sponsor exhibitions, over 20 food trucks, live on-site broadcasts, a family fireworks display for families with young children, and a Midnight Countdown with spectacular fireworks over Coal Harbour. This year’s event, kicking off at 6:30 pm, are officially part of the federal government’s Canada 150 festivities celebrating the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation.

Calgary, AB

On December 31st, Calgarians can enjoy a New Year’s Eve celebration for the history books. More activities will be added inside and out, from 7pm until midnight, in both official languages. As we kick-off 2017, Canada’s 150th birthday year, young families won’t want to miss the glow-in-the-dark dance party at the Municipal Building complete with crafts, bouncy castle, stilt walkers, magician and a kids’ countdown at 9pm. Olympic Plaza will be illuminated and animated with family skating, live ice carvings, fire spinning, an ice slide, and creative light-based art installations.
