The world is full of festivals. They run the gamut from the iconic, boozy Oktoberfest beer festival in Munich to a simple, local corn festival somewhere in the Midwest. And now, thanks to Twitter there is going to be a Jagermeister and chowder festival in October.

If you find this combination to be both appalling and intriguing, you can than writer Jake Browne. Recently, he took to the social media platform and Tweeted “What’s the worst food/drink pairing?” He said that if 1,000 or more people voted, he would throw a festival to celebrate the gross food and drink combination. Highly rated awful combinations include eggs and red wine, pickles and banana daiquiris, olives, and butterscotch, but the winner was Jagermeister and chowder.

The internet spoke and Browne listened. That’s why he’s throwing a festival aptly called Chowdermeister on October 16th at Sloan’s Lake in Denver. Tickets are $25 and get the adventurous foodie samples of chowders as well as Jägermeister cocktails.

And even though this festival sounds gross, the food and drinks will be made by well-known chefs and bartenders. Also, your ticket also gets you access to the “Fizz Garden” and unlimited beer and hard seltzer samples. So, even if the Jager and chowder don’t work for you, at least you can get your drink on for a reasonable price.
