Life Hack of the Week: A Mandatory Video For Using Chopsticks Like a Boss

We all deserve to live better lives. The easiest way to do this is to change the small things in your control. Things like using chopsticks like a boss. You likely didn’t grow up using them so it makes sense that you seem like a toddler when forced to eat with them. However, this will no longer be the case thanks to a hack made famous by TikToker @taytay55555. TayTay, better known as Taylor Anderson, dropped an unbeatable hack for those of us who just can’t figure out how to effectively use chopsticks. Say goodbye to the days when you struggled to pick up your food with chopsticks (or worse, using them to stab your food out of pure desperation). Keep reading to discover this super easy hack that will change your life.

What You’ll Need

  • Chopsticks
  • Straw
  • Something to eat

As we said last week, the best, most effective hacks are usually the simplest. What really improves our lives are tiny practices we can implement, as if almost by second nature. This chopstick hack is no exception to that rule. First, open the package that contains your chopsticks. Next, rub them against each other. In case you don’t know, you do this to remove any splinters from the wood. So if you’re given reusable, plastic chopsticks, you don’t need to do this. Finally, take your straw, and add the top of the chopsticks into the mouth of each end of the straw. And enjoy using chopsticks with ease.

Perhaps, you’ll spend the rest of your life using this hack. There’s no shame in it. Most of us don’t have Mr. Miyagi to painstakingly teach us how to capture a fly with them. That said, if you really want to impress people, put in the effort to really learn. This additional tutorial might help.
