Memorial Day weekend is upon us. For women, this usually means it’s time to strut your stuff. From crop tops to short shorts and bikinis, the ladies don’t have to stress too much about their Memorial Day look, but for the men who are a bit shy about their winter belly or those few extra pounds they haven’t yet worked off the gym, it’s a different story.
If your long weekend activities include hanging out at the beach or a pool, well, you’re on your own. If not, you’re in luck. Here are a few fashion favorites that will never let you lose your cool.
On Your Feet: Shoes are the best place to start when getting dressed because they can literally set the tone for the entire look. This Memorial Day why not try something casual with a vintage look? It could be a pair very unique to your personality, a conversation piece or something a bit more classic with a pop of color. The important thing is that they are comfortable and stylish.
On Top: A graphic or solid tee could be the perfect match for your denim or go “downtown chic” by pairing shorts with a long sleeve button down like a gingham check. Looks great for an afternoon picnic, right?
Sleeves rolled for extra cool factor, of course. It might also be a good idea to bring along a light sweater or windbreaker to throw on as the evening gets cooler. There’s nothing like a man who’s prepared for anything.
On Your Head: Since we look forward to our Memorial Holiday as the beginning of the summer season, we expect there will be lots of basking in the sun In that case, a hat not only protects your face but with just the right lid, you can ease your cool factor for the day up a notch or two…maybe even three.
Take any combination of this head to toe formula and make it your own. Whatever feels right, probably is so get ready to step out in style.
