Mini Cooper One Arrives In Australia

Mini Cooper has introduced its brand new model, the Mini One Hatch in Australia, where it enters the market as the brand’s lowest priced model since its re-launch in 2002.

The Mini Cooper One base model will be sold for $24,500 in Australia, well below the below the regular $26,650 asking price for the Cooper model and it will replace the $28,800 Ray model from the older Cooper range.

The Mini One boasts a 75kW/180Nm 1.2 litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine under the hood, and the average fuel consumption stands at 4.9L / 100 km for the manual and at 5.0L / 100km for the automatic. It’ll take you approximately 9.9 seconds to go from standstill to 100kmh.

“The new Mini One Hatch embodies the same technical and quality advancements demonstrated in the rest of the new Mini Hatch range, and when compared to the previous entry level model, offers customers greater performance, improved comfort and a lot more value for money,” said Kai Bruesewitz, general manager for Mini Australia.

Standard features include 15-inch steel wheels with covers with a cloth trim, Bluetooth/USB connectivity, automatic stop-start, keyless start, servotronic power steering, Dynamic Stability Control including Dynamic Traction Control and Electronic Differential Lock.
