London’s Tiny ‘Bone Daddies’ Takes Ramen Uptown

You can find multiple Ramen spots in most major cities — from Mom and Pop run noodle bars to full-on chain restaurants in which the noodles are one of many Far East options.

Surprisingly, London is a hotbed for open Ramen warfare as multiple joints are now surveying up big bowls of the squiggly noodles to big, happy crowds.

Wagamama has long been a UK staple. You can seemingly find one of those social, healthy noodle bars in every London neighborhood. You can even find a few of them sneaking across there Atlantic into Boston. But there are more boutique options making a splash in the English capital.

The oddly named Bone Daddies is charging to the top of that list. Located in Soho – ideally placed in the heart of Central London – Bone Daddies is a small restaurant that does big business to lunch and dinner crowds looking for healthy, tasty, affordable and sometimes exotic options.

While there are multiple noodle options on the menu (even a Ramen Salad), I would recommend the Tantanmen with extra cock scratchings. Now, I refer you to the additional side of cock scratchings because they’re crispy remnants of cooked chicken that add nice texture to the soup. I didn’t just give the cock scratchings a thumbs up because I enjoy typing “cock scratchings.”

Bone Daddies is open for lunch, dinner and late night dining with its menu changing slightly throughout the day.
