Bourbon Orleans Hotel Invites You to ‘Ghost Camp’

You’ve probably seen those ghost hunting shows on TV. Those hours of grownups standing in the dark shot by night vision cameras while they yell into empty rooms and wave electronics around in the hope of capturing proof of a ghost. They’re an amazing TV phenomena because they endure for season after season while never really finding anything that proves they should be on the air in the first place.

But, maybe you can do better during this year’s Ghost Camp at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. From Sept. 11-14, you pays your money and you takes your chances hunting the multiple ghosts said to haunt the property. In addition, camp guests join in on a ghostly Cocktail Tour, Cemetery Voodoo Adventure, Ghosts of the Mississippi River on the Steamboat Natchez, a seance in the Bourbon Orleans’ haunted Ballroom, a French Quarter Spirited Scavenger Quest, a gala dinner and ghost hunt in the Orleans and a Sunday awards brunch and Ghost Camp Certification presentation.

And, did I mention you’d be in New Orleans the entire time — surrounded by some of the best restaurants and bars in the country? Even if you don’t find a ghost, there will be plenty of “spirits” to encounter.
