Emma Watson “Naked Video Leak” is Infesting Viewers’ PCs with Malware

A video claiming to depict Harry Potter actress Emma Watson naked is infesting viewers’ PCs with harmful malware.

The fake video, which is being shared on social networking sites such as Facebook, actually links to a site containing a Trojan.

These types of viruses are common on Facebook, though due to Emma Watson’s popularity this one has been duping users by the thousands.

Emma Watson was at the center of a controversial debate recently, when she launched her feminist ‘HeForShe’ campaign in front of assembled members of the United Nations. The response to this was a website seemingly created by 4chan which claimed that it would leak naked photos of the actress. The website was later found to be a hoax orchestrated by a marketing company.

A real victim of the photo/video leaks, Jennifer Lawrence, recently came out and expressed her disgust at the actions of the hackers and those who shared the leaked images of her, branding the hacking a “sex crime.” On the same day her comments were made public, a sock puppet account posing as a Wikipedia admin changed her Wiki page to include two naked images of her.
