LG is spoiling us with TVs at CES 2015, not only offering up the beautiful quantum-dot model but also revealing a 4K OLED TV that bends at the press of a button.

Curved TVs are the latest trend and while we already got a look at them back in 2014, LG has upped the stakes significantly with the 77-inch EG9900, which combines 4K, OLED technology, a smart TV UI and a curved screen to form one of the most impressive pieces of kit available to view at CES this year. While it does indeed look pretty with its ultra HD resolution, it’s the curve we’re most interested in as the tech boasted by the EG9900 allows it to be controlled by the press of a button. It’s enough to make Michael Bay walk off stage again.

A noted problem with curved TVs is that while they are perfect for solo viewing, they aren’t so hot when being viewed in large groups. This issue is rectified with this manually controlled model, which allows you to select just how curved you want the screen to be, from flat-screen through to a far tighter viewing experience.

LG has also laid down the gauntlet when it comes to its smart TV user interface, claiming that the EG9900’s webOS 2.0 operating system’s visual aspect makes it easier than ever before to browse streaming services such as Netflix.

Thus far there’s no confirmed price or release date, but we’re on the show floor throughout CES 2015 so we’ll be giving you the rundown on this great-looking model when we get our hands on it.
