Art Basel 2014 |Blank Canvas LA Make Their Mark on the Walls of Miami

CraveOnline found magic in Miami a few weeks ago at Art Basel, the world’s premier international art show for modern and contemporary works. Now in its 13th incarnation, a run of art shows and performances swarming Miami’s arts scene with a kaleidoscope of parties and associated events. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs, films, and works of the highest quality were on display in the main exhibition hall, while ambitious artworks and performances became part of the landscape at nearby beaches, Collins Park and SoundScape Park. The Cali Bomb Squad (CBS) descended on the scene to make their mark, with an ambitious team-effort plan to create the most badass mural on any wall in Miami. As Blank Canvas LA creative director Robert “Dytch66” Gomez explains in Crave’s Art Basel highlights video below, early arrival on the scene enables artists to get pumped on each others’ work, before meticulous planning and layout gives way to a wildfire of spray paint and visual passion.
