Man Arrested After “Liking” His Own Wanted Photo on Facebook

Today in Stupid People news, a man wanted for theft and forgery was arrested after “liking” his own wanted photo on Facebook.

23-year-old Levi Charles Reardon made the ill-advised decision to like a post on Facebook from a local Crimestoppers page, after he was listed as a wanted man by Cascade County, Montana, with him being suspected of stealing a wallet and personal checks. Reardon had attempted to cash one of the stolen checks by making it out in his own name.

After this similarly stupid move, Reardon then deemed it appropriate to like his own wanted photo, which you can see below (via Digital Trends):

Reardon was promptly arrested and held on a $2,500 bond, with two warrants having been put out for his arrest. He’s scheduled for a court appearance on May 7th.

It’s uncertain what Reardon was thinking when he liked this post. Perhaps he was adopting the technique of hiding in plain sight? Or maybe he saw the chance to grab some quick 15 minutes of fame and took it with gusto? Whatever his reason, he won’t have much time for making an idiot of himself on social media anymore when he’s in jail.
