Leaked schematics of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Pro seem to indicate that Apple’s next flagship smartphone will be more-or-less identical in design to the iPhone 6S.

The reliable French tech website Nowhereelse.fr (via Forbes) has posted some alleged blueprints for the upcoming models of the iPhone 7, revealing that there are some major similarities between it and the company’s previous flagship. Firstly, the iPhone 7 measures in at 67.12mm wide, 138.3mm tall, a very marginal increase over the iPhone 6S’s 67.1mm wide, 138.3mm tall frame, while it will reportedly be just as slim as the 6S, with a thickness of 7.1mm.

However, alleged blueprints for the iPhone 7 Pro do highlight a potentially key difference between it and the iPhone 6S, with the previously rumored dual camera seemingly set to make an appearance on the premium model of the iPhone 7, along with an elongated cutout for its camera.

The schematics suggest that the space allocated for the camera will be twice as large as what was reserved for the iPhone 6S’s iSight Camera. Here’s the leaked blueprint of the iPhone 7 Pro:

With Apple set to announce the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro later this year, there’s no telling whether or not these schematics are correct, regardless of them being from a trusted source. While the smartphones will undoubtedly feature an array of improvements under the hood, if the rumors swirling around the upcoming devices are to be believed, then many may be disappointed by the lack of significant changes made to its flagship series.

Apple reported declining sales when comparing its Q1 2016 revenue with Q1 2015 in its latest financial report, with many feeling this indicated that the company needed to begin innovating once again after choosing to refrain from making major design changes to its smartphones since the launch of the iPhone 6. With it having been speculated that the iPhone won’t experience another major change until the launch of the iPhone 8, these leaked designs certainly suggest that this will be the case.
