We thought we had established that gender reveal parties were dumb, if not downright dangerous, but apparently, not everyone is on the same page. Take, for example, a couple of expectant parents in India, who recklessly recruited a tiger to partake in this un-woke baby shower ritual.
It all went down at the Burj Al Arab resort hotel in Dubai. In the stunt, a tiger leapt toward a balloon and popped it, releasing a pink cloud. The video announcing the imminent arrival of a baby girl was posted on Instagram with the caption “It’s a…tiger?” and soon went viral.

No people were seen in the vicinity of the animal during the reveal, but critics were quick to criticize the couple behind the sexist stunt.
“I’m sickened by the mentality of the people who think this is ok,” one commented.
“This isn’t something to be proud of. These animals are not pets,” another added.
And we thought it was cruel to keep big cats in the zoo…
