Meanwhile in Dating: Girlfriend Goes Full Magnum PI, Uses Tampon Serial Numbers to Nab Cheating Boyfriend

Cheaters always think they’re sneakier than they actually are. Women in particular have a sixth sense for any kind of infidelity. One dude unfortunately learned this when his girlfriend took a deep dive into the contents of his closet, then posted about it on TikTok.

Let us explain. 23-year-old Lois Saunders is a student in the UK. One day, she found a tampon next to a tube of mascara stuffed beneath the closet of the college dorm room where her boy toy, Finn, lived. He stupidly claimed he had no idea where the feminine product came from, and surmised it must’ve been left by the previous occupant. (Uh-huh, yeah, right…)

Saunders was not easily persuaded…and went all Magnum PI and launched her own investigation. The first thing she noticed was that the tampon didn’t have much dust on it to have been abandoned there that long. Next, she contacted Procter & Gamble, the manufacturer of the Tampax brand tampon. She sent in a serial number on the side of the tampon packaging to find out when the tampon was made.

All of this was documented in a now-viral video.

“When you find a tampon and mascara under your bf wardrobe and they deny everything, you have to investigate yourself,” Lois captioned the 30-second clip that showed her on hands and knees digging under the closet door. She also shared screenshots of her communication with P&G and Tampax.

The answer back from Tampax was that the tampon was made on December 11, 2019…a date that preceded Finn’s residence in the dorm room. So little ol’ Lois concluded that her boyfriend had not cheated on, but also probably hadn’t cleaned his room very well in a while.

“We were just laughing about it together, because it was a bit of a joke,” Saunders said in a subsequent video. “He had obviously never swept under the wardrobe … I believe him. We are still together, and very happy!”

Viewers were split down the middle, with women expressing amazement at Lois’ dedication while men accused her of being a “borderline psycho.”

“Finn, run! Red flag!” one advised.

“There’s nothing that men hate more than a woman who not only doesn’t trust, but then goes snooping. Because she has to be right,” another complained.

“This is why I’m gay,” a third quipped.

Still, there were skeptics in the crowd who think the situation smells a bit fishy.

“DNA fibers from the mascara is the only next possible step,” one opined.
