Watch A Fictionalised Daft Punk In The New ‘Eden’ Trailer

Mia Hansen-Løve’s latest film, Eden, charts the rise of electronic music in France during the ’90s and features portrayals of several real world DJs, including Daft Punk. Ahead of its premiere, the film’s producers have shared Eden‘s first official trailer.

Soundtracked by brief samples of several Daft Punk tracks, including “Da Funk” and “One More Time”, the trailer offers a few glimpses of the duo spinning in a Parisian nightclub. The film is actually based around the life of Hansen-Løve’s brother Sven Love, a DJ and producer in the French EDM scene at the same time that Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk were changing the face of dance music.

Eden also features music from acclaimed DJ and producer Frankie Knuckles. The film is currently screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. Watch the trailer, below, then read Crave’s early review of the film here.
