NBC Signs Strike Back Star Philip Winchester For Endgame

Yesterday, NBC scored a coup by landing Sullivan Stapleton, the former star of Strike Back who was reportedly one of the most highly sought after actors during the current TV development season. Today, NBC added the other star of Strike Back.

According to Deadline, Philip Winchester has been cast in lead role of NBC’s Endgame, a new drama pilot from Leverage creator John Rogers. Winchester will play Alex, “a former intelligence officer turned security expert who is drawn into a mysterious conspiracy that forces him to complete a series of heroic challenges in order to save innocent lives.”

Prior to his four seasons on Strike Back, Winchester appeared in Fringe, Camelot, Solomon Kane, Flyboys, Thunderbirds, Warehouse 13 and CSI: Miami. More recently, Winchester had a recurring role on 24: Live Another Day.

Endgame will be in contention for a slot on NBC’s Fall 2015 schedule. Winchester and Stapleton will reunite in the final season of Strike Back this summer on Cinemax.
