I understand. We all make mistakes. But when you make one publicly you need to own it, and apologize.
People have recently been putting the NRA on blast. Doesn’t sound surprising at all, right? Until you realize the NRA they’ve been witch-hunting has been the National Restaurant Association, not the ‘evil empire’ of the National Rifle Association.
Why the controversy? One senator took a $50 donation from the National Restaurant Association and people immediately started losing their minds.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill), who is an Iraq War veteran, a double amputee, and a proponent of stronger gun control legislation, is who took the lettuce in question. Here she is defending herself.

A spokesperson from the National Restaurant Association told CNBC, “Every once in a while this happens.”
I guess I can understand why.

I get it. We’re all anxious. We all want to stand up for what we believe in. We all want to see our country change for the better. But if you take a public stand against the NRA, make sure you’re opposing the right organization.
In the mean time, don’t be like these morons.
