We know how it is. You need hot coffee to ramp up for the day and a cold beer to wind it down. In the spring and summer months, however, you want the best of both worlds: a cool, refreshing beverage that gives you an extended, mellow buzz any time of day. Enter coffee beer.

Last fall, Dunkin’ and Harpoon released a coffee-infused porter that fans of the Boston-area brewery and the iconic doughnut chain went nuts for. That’s why the duo decided to double down on the coffee-beer hybrid and announced the release of Harpoon Dunkin’ Summer Coffee Pale Ale.

This limited-edition beer will be available from now through the end of summer. It’s 5-percent ABV and somehow hoppy and coffee-flavored at the same time. It’s made by combining a pale ale with Dunkin’s original blend coffee.
