All You Can Eat: Woman Rushed to ER After Ungodly Number of Sushi Rolls, No Word on Whether She Found Nemo

Due to a global pandemic, gone are the days of the sketchy, warmer-enveloped all-you-can-eat buffet. But this doesn’t mean that restaurants do still do similar offerings from the convenience of your seat. Some still offer options where you pay one price and eat until you’re uncomfortably full or you feel like you’ve gotten your money’s worth. We’re in the latter group and so is Danielle Shapiro. But, unlike us, the 24-year-old woman from California bit of a little more than she could chew (literally).

She ventured into a sushi restaurant in Mountain View, California and slapped down $50 to partake in their all-you-can-eat offer. To many, $50 is a lot of money for one meal. Obviously, Shapiro thinks so too because she attempted to eat at least $50 worth of food (if not more).

She did this by throwing down a whopping 32 sushi rolls. While eating your weight in burgers, tacos, or even grilled cheese sandwiches is okay, you’re really gambling if you’re stuffing your gut with raw fish.

Unsurprisingly, she didn’t feel good after her binge. In fact, she felt sick enough to visit the hospital complaining of stomach pains. Luckily, she took to TikTok to document her ordeal for all of us.

The moral of the story? Don’t fall for the all-you-can-eat sushi deal. Or, if you do, don’t try to actually make it worth your while. Otherwise, you might end up with an IV and a bad stomachache. Or worse.
