Here at Crave, we know our Christmas horror movies. We LOVE our Christmas horror movies. And we loved Krampus, one of those rare Christmas horror movies that’s just as Christmasy as it is terrifying. So I absolutely had to sit down with director Michael Dougherty, who first brought his particular brand of terror to the holidays in his Halloween cult classic, Trick ‘r Treat.
So, donning my finest leopard print Santa hat and most vaguely creepy Christmas sweater, the interview commenced. Watch as we learn that Santa Claus is actually in cahoots with Krampus‘s title monster, Krampus himself. Michael Dougherty also reveals his favorite Christmas horror story and tells us a little more about the mystery snow monster we never get to see properly in his hit new film.
